Dr. Ahmad bin Ali is a Senior Researcher at the Marine Fishery Resources Development and Management Department, Southeast Asian Fisheries Development Center (SEAFDEC). He is also the Regional Vice Chair of the IUCN Shark Specialist Group for Southeast Asia, which is part of the Species Survival Commission. His core fields of research are artificial feefs, fisheries oceanography, elasmobranches taxonomy and biology.
